Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats offer a safe, confidential, and deeply supportive space for anyone whose life has been touched by abortion. Grief after pregnancy loss can be complex and often carried quietly for many years. This retreat is an opportunity to pause, be cared for, and gently begin or continue a journey toward healing, hope, and restoration. Whether your experience is recent or from long ago, you are welcome.

The upcoming Auckland retreat will take place from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd March 2026 at the Mary MacKillop Centre in Kohimarama. Set in a peaceful and private environment, the retreat centre offers a calm, spacious setting with both indoor and garden areas, along with views across the Waitematā Harbour toward Rangitoto Island. Each participant has their own room with an ensuite, allowing space for rest, privacy, and reflection.

The retreat runs over a full weekend, beginning on Friday afternoon and finishing on Sunday afternoon. The programme is carefully structured and gently facilitated, with guided reflections, quiet moments, and opportunities to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. Everything discussed during the retreat is strictly confidential, and great care is taken to create an atmosphere of trust, safety, and respect.

Once you make an enquiry, a Retreat Coordinator, who is a trained counsellor, will contact you to talk through whether the retreat is right for you. If it is, they will support you through each step leading up to the weekend and continue to offer care afterwards as well. Accommodation and all meals are provided, and you will be welcomed on Friday afternoon with time to settle in, rest, and begin the weekend gently.

Retreats are offered free of charge thanks to the generosity of others. A financial contribution is always welcome, but the cost of attending should never be a barrier. The heart of Rachel’s Vineyard is compassion, care, and the belief that no one should walk this journey alone.

All enquiries are confidential. There is no pressure, only an open invitation to explore whether this retreat might be a helpful next step for you. It is a privilege for the team to walk alongside each person who reaches out, honouring every story and every pathway that leads someone to retreat.
