The Wellington retreat will be held in October 2026 at Our Lady’s Home of Compassion in Island Bay. Tucked into one of the city’s most peaceful corners, the retreat centre offers a calm and welcoming environment, surrounded by gardens, open green spaces, and mature trees. The setting carries a sense of history and hospitality shaped by the Sisters of Compassion, whose presence has long reflected care, dignity, and welcome.

Over the course of the retreat, participants are supported through a thoughtfully held programme that allows space for rest, reflection, and personal processing. There is no pressure to speak or share beyond what feels right. Everything is treated with deep respect and held in confidence, honouring each person’s story and journey.

Accommodation and meals are provided, and the retreat is offered free of charge through the generosity of others. Financial contributions are welcomed but never expected, and cost should not prevent anyone from attending.
